The UNI Now program
UNI Faculty and Staff,
The 2014-15 academic year is winding down, which means we have already started planning for 2015-16. To better prepare our incoming students for college success, a very dedicated group of students, faculty and staff have created the UNI Now experience.
UNI Now begins Wednesday, Aug. 19 and goes through Sunday, Aug. 23. The experience will help students connect with peers, discover UNI traditions, attend fun and engaging events, and discover what it means to be a Panther. All students newly admitted for fall 2015 are highly encouraged to attend.
Some of you may be wondering about the difference between UNI Now and Welcome Week. UNI Now is a transition experience for new, incoming students in the days before classes begin. Welcome Week provides programming for all students.
UNI Now is a true campus-wide collaboration with more than 100 faculty, staff and students who are currently engaged in various planning committees. I encourage each of you to get involved. Opportunities to volunteer are available on UNI's First Year website.
Please help spread the word about UNI Now. This experience is a great opportunity to welcome our incoming students to their home away from home.
