UNI to Host U.S. Department of Education Public Hearings

Colleagues and Friends:

The University of Northern Iowa invites you to join us on Friday, November 15, 2013 when U.S. Undersecretary of Education Dr. Martha Kanter and other federal officials will be on campus for a listening forum on President Obama’s College Affordability and Completion proposals (www.ed.gov/college-affordability).  The forum is free and open to the public. This is a unique opportunity for faculty, staff, students, and Iowa citizens to help shape federal policy.

The event will be held in Bengtson Auditorium in Russell Hall, 2601 Minnesota St., from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Individuals who wish to comment must register by sending an e-mail to collegefeedback@ed.gov with the subject “Open Forum Registration” three days in advance.
