Dear UNI Family,

Thank you for your wonderful support and for the memorable installation ceremony. Judy and I were so impressed and truly overwhelmed with the support we received this weekend. The events on Thursday with students and the reception with faculty, staff and the community were so enjoyable. We were fortunate to meet so many members of the UNI family. 

The installation on Friday was an absolutely special event. Thank you to the distinguished ROTC Color Guard and the very impressive vocalists Rhys Talbot and Jeffrey Brich, the UNI Wind Symphony conducted by Dr. Ronald Johnson and the Varsity Men's Glee Club led by Dr. John Wiles. The reception in the McElroy Lobby provided for more celebration, and the music by Christopher Merz and Dr. Robert Washut was exceptional.

Also, a special thank you to all the volunteers and technical staff at the Gallagher-Bluedorn Performing Arts Center, UNI Catering and the Registrar's Office staff, and of course, to all the members of the installation committee.

As I stated in my installation remarks, I promise to do everything possible to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, students, alumni, donors, state legislators, the Governor, and other elected officials and friends to uphold and enhance the legacy of this magnificent institution. We are the University of Northern Iowa, THE regional comprehensive university in the State of Iowa.
