May, 2015 TIER Update

Dear UNI Family,

I wanted to update you on TIER before summer begins.

Pappas is continuing to review university processes in eLearning and enrollment management. They will be back on campus in June for additional meetings.

Since the objectives of Ad Astra’s engagement align closely with the review being conducted by Pappas, Ad Astra consultants are working with individuals from Pappas and will present their recommendations to the Board of Regents later in the fall to coincide with the report from Pappas.

Huron has presented draft recommendations on five business cases, including PC/laptop purchases, office supplies, IT peripherals, janitorial supplies and MRO (maintenance and repair operations) to procurement leadership at each of the institutions. They will conclude their work on the five remaining commodities of scientific supplies, food, travel, audiovisual and managed print with a scheduled conclusion in early June and report to the Board of Regents sometime later this summer.

Chazey is wrapping up their assessment of the plan UNI proposed to the Board of Regents involving ITS, finance and human resources. We expect a draft report from Chazey in the coming week with a scheduled conclusion in early June and report to the Board of Regents later this summer. We will use Chazey's assessment as we move forward with the design and implementation of changes in the ITS, finance and human resources areas. Opportunities for university engagement will be available throughout the design and implementation phases in the coming months and into the next academic year.

More information about the latest TIER news is available on UNI's Efficiency and Transformation Study website.
