Death of Professor Donald E. Shepardson

Dear UNI Family,

It is with great sadness that we share with you the loss of a UNI family member: Donald E. Shepardson, professor of history.

Dr. Shepardson began his career at UNI in 1970 and was very proud of the fact that he was in his 47th year as a professor of history. He enjoyed teaching courses on Modern Diplomatic History, Military History and the Humanities and cared deeply for his students and colleagues.

Professor Shepardson’s students, friends and the many people who knew him across campus will miss Don’s personality, kindness and insightful observation on life.
