Caitlyn Burns - Student Death

Dear University Family,

It is with great sadness that we share with you the loss of a member of the UNI family: Caitlyn Rae Burns, a freshman from Le Claire, Iowa died today.

Caitlyn was blessed to have a strong circle of friends from in and around the Quad Cities area. She was active in cheerleading while in high school. Caitlyn loved animals and art.

This evening there will be a candlelight vigil at 8 p.m. honoring Caitlyn. Please join us at the campanile.

Please keep Caitlyn's loved ones in your thoughts as they move through this difficult time. Details relative to memorial services will be sent as soon as they are known.
