Announcement of the death of Tim Merrick

Dear UNI Family,

It is with great sadness that we share with you the loss of a member of the UNI family: Tim Merrick, an automotive mechanic for UNI's transportation services.

Tim was originally from Waterloo. He graduated from East High in 1977 then went on to work at UNI's Physical Plant in the transportation department as a mechanic. He loved being outdoors and spending time with his family. Tim will be missed by all who knew him.

Public visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, August 11, at the Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories in Waterloo, located at 965 Home Plaza. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, August 12, at the Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories. A full obituary can be found on the Iowa Funeral Planning website.
