Announcement of the death of Lynn Nielsen

Dear UNI Family,

It is with great sadness that we share with you the loss of a member of the UNI family: Lynn Nielsen, professor of curriculum and instruction.

Lynn enjoyed a wonderful career as a teacher and administrator at UNI. He was a dedicated educator that had a passion for teaching. Lynn also had the ability to really connect to those he was teaching, whether it was elementary students or college students. His positive attitude and optimism will be missed in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction and at UNI.

Visitation services will be held from 4 to 7 p.m., Thursday, April 23, at the NewAldaya Lifescapes Chapel in Cedar Falls. Funeral services are at 1:30 p.m., Friday, April 24, at the Nazareth Evangelical Lutheran Church in Cedar Falls.
