Anna Speed - Student Death

Dear University Family,

It is with great sadness that we share with you the loss of a member of the UNI family: Anna Speed, a sophomore majoring in communication disorders.

Anna was originally from Kings, Illinois. She was a member of Gamma Phi Beta sorority and was excited to be a Peer Mentor for Cornerstone classes this fall.

Family members and friends have mentioned that anyone who knew Anna knew that she lived and loved life every day. Her smile would light up the room.

Visitation services will be held from 1 to 5 p.m., Sunday, June 14, at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6th St., Rochelle, Illinois. Funeral services are at 10:30 a.m., Monday, June 15, at Paynes Point Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 764 N. Stillman Road, Oregon, Illinois.
