Dear UNI Family,
It is with tremendous sadness that I share with you the loss of a member of the Panther family. Nathan Twedt, a sophomore majoring in finance, has died.
The cause of death has yet to be determined and a police investigation is ongoing.
There is nothing that can prepare us for the loss of a friend or loved one. The most important thing we can do during this difficult time is support one another, and remember to cherish our friends and family every day of our lives.
I ask that you please keep Nathan’s friends and family in your thoughts as they cope with what must be an unimaginable loss.
To students who may need some extra support in dealing with this tragic event, on-campus resources are available to help. The UNI Counseling Center has counselors available in person from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Please remember that after-hours services are also available by calling 319-273-2676 and selecting option 2 at the prompt. I strongly encourage you to make use of these services during this time of mourning.
